# Creating New Users

#### Step by Step:

1. Log into Proteus
2. In the top right corner of the screen, select the trainer drop down
3. Select **Site Admin**
4. This will automatically bring you to your list of users. Select **New User**
5. Select the type of user account you would like to create
6. Enter the name that will be displayed for the user’s account as well as the email that will be associated with the account (when applicable)
7. Select **Create User** to prompt the user to fill out their demographic information via email or **Complete Profile** to fill out the user’s information on the screen
8. If Complete Profile is selected, fill out the user’s information and select **Create User**

Tip on User Types:

**Athlete** - Proteus most common user type. With this account, user’s will be able to login and view their own performance data, confirm their account/update their demographic information, and receive shared test reporting.

**Supervised Athlete** - Most common at Proteus sites that want to create a data set for a user but have no third party way to identify who they are. Commonly used by professional and college athletics, hospitals, and rehabilitation facilities

**Trainer** - All of the benefits of an Athlete account with admin privileges. Trainer accounts come with the ability to login to Proteus to administer testing, user and custom test creation, as well as access to all of your site’s testing data
