Will guide a user on how to troubleshoot a floorstand mounted machine with excessive movement during use
Under high intensity usage the the free standing Proteus(right) machine will be less secure than the the ground bolted version(left).
If your free standing Proteus has experienced shifting or "creep" during use and is not in its intended position, it can be moved back with a few simple steps.
For minor adjustments, movement within roughly 1ft from current position, you can leave the monitor arm secured to the Proteus. Just be mindful to manually lift/assist it slightly when moving the unit to prevent unwanted stress.
For larger distance moves it is advised the monitor mount be detached from the Proteus to ensure it can be transported safely. If doing so, use this page for instructions on mount removal.
1. Start by removing all bolts & washers securing the Proteus to the free standing plates using a 3/4" wrench or socket.
2. Next fully tighten the 3X lifter bolts(Red) on the back/side of the legs. This will lift the machine onto the inset wheels.
3. With the weight now off the free standing plates, move them into the general position desired.
4. Wheel Proteus over to follow taking extra care for the monitor if needed. Once in place, roll Proteus forward 10-12 inches, you will place the free stand plates behind the legs.
5. Roll proteus back over the plates.
6. Gradually lower the machine down by loosening the 3X lifter bolts(red), taking care to align the 6X mount holes of the legs as you do. Install the 6X Proteus bolts & washers, then make minor adjustments and align the plate for the monitor mount and install its 2X bolts & washers.
