Recreating User Accounts with Expired Confirmation Emails

My Athlete's Account Confirmation Link Expired. Now What?

When creating Athlete or Trainer user accounts, the user receives a confirmation email to finalize the account’s password and demographic information. However, the account confirmation link will expire if the email’s link is not initiated within 24 hours.

Unfortunately, there is currently no way to re-send an account’s confirmation email and the account will have to be re-created. Since there is no data associated with the unfinished account, there is no harm in deleting the account.

Here are the instructions for deleting a new user account:

1. Login to Proteus Motion’s software
2. Select the trainer dropdown in the top right corner
3. Select Site Admin
4. Once you've completed the last step, you should automatically be on your site’s user list. Find the user account invite that has a lapsed invitation
5. Select delete for the account you want to recreate
6. Select delete in the modal to confirm you would like to remove the account

Now that the account has been deleted and the user’s email is no longer associated with an existing account, you can recreate the user’s Proteus Motion account.

1. In the top right corner of the screen, select the trainer drop down
2. Select Site Admin
3. This will automatically bring you to your list of users. Select New User
4. Select the type of user account you would like to create
5. Enter the name that will be displayed for the user’s account as well as the email that will be associated with the account 
6. Select Create User to prompt the user to fill out their demographic information via email or Complete Profile to fill out the user’s information on the screen
7. If Complete Profile is selected, fill out the user’s information and select Create User
