# Performance Testing/Storing Data for Athletes Under 13

**[COPPA laws](https://www.ftc.gov/legal-library/browse/rules/childrens-online-privacy-protection-rule-coppa) limit our ability to record and store personally identifiable data for children so our core software product is set up to prevent instances where we record that information knowingly or unknowingly. So what can you do?**

 

**Perform the Following:**

- **There are (2) forms/ waivers needed** to store data for users under 13 years old.
- We can specifically turn a feature on for your site that disables prevention of U13 user accounts, so long as you collect the **[parental waiver](https://drive.google.com/file/d/1h0dzJoOibfv1O9Ae6rhIu_fdkQasRVhD/view?usp=drive_link)** from the U13 athlete's parent/guardian. We would require you, the site to keep a signed copy of this waiver on file for EACH U13 Athlete.
- **Additionally,** you as the site will need to sign our **Customer Agreement for Following COPPA Guidelines** confirming that you comply with our rules and regulations for storing data for U13 athletes. 
    - Please reach out to Customer Success (*customersuccess@proteusmotion.com*) to request the agreement for review and signature.
    - Once Customer Success has received signed acknowledgement of these guidelines, you will have access to create accounts for U13 athletes.
