Proteus Bat Attachment Best Practices

Proteus’ unique bat attachment allows for a greater range of motion while performing movements against 3D Resistance.

Here are some helpful tips and tricks for using the bat attachment:

  • Anything you can do with a single hand you can perform with the bat attachment; just note that the bat attachment will change the handle’s center of mass.
    • This change in the center of mass will create much more torque on the wrist
  • Despite its appearance, this attachment is not intended to be a racket or bat simulator
    • Trying to perform full swings on Proteus with this attachment may result in the user striking themselves with Proteus’ linear component.
    • This attachment can be used to train portions of sport specific patterns with different grips; NOT to simulate complete sport specific movements
  • We recommend using the bat attachment at lighter resistances.
    • This attachment is perfect for loading more minute upper extremity movements such as ulnar/radial deviation.

Note: The bat attachment is still being rolled out to customers as they are being produced. Please reach out to customersuccess@proteusmotion.com to inquire about this attachment.
