# How do I reset an account’s password?

There are two different ways that you can reset a Proteus account’s password.

**To reset a password while logged out of Proteus:**

1. While accessing from [client.proteusmotion.com](http://client.proteusmotion.com/) or standing in front of your Proteus machine, select **Login**
2. Enter your **email address** 
     - If not previously logged in, you may need your location ID to progress to the next step. If this is the case, please reach out to your site’s administrator or  [customersuccess@proteusmotion.com](mailto:customersuccess@proteusmotion.com) for this information
3. Select **Next**
4. Select **Forgot Password?**
5. Check your email’s inbox for **Reset Password Instructions** and use the proper links to reset the account's password 
     - If you don’t see this email in your inbox, be sure to check your spam folder

**To reset a password while logged into Proteus:**

1. Select the **Trainer Drop down menu** in the top right corner of the screen
2. Select **Site Admin**
3. This will automatically bring you to your site’s user list. Select **the user** that needs to reset their password
4. Select **Edit Profile** in the top left of the screen
5. Select **Account**
6. Where the modal says *password,* select **Edit** and **Reset Password**
7. The user will receive and email to reset their password 
     - If the user does not see their password reset email, remind them to check their spam folder

Tip: Not seeing your reset password email in your normal inbox? Be sure to check your spam folder!
